Jane Ryan

“By island standards the dock at Cranberry Island is action central. At least once a day islanders check their mail, shop for provisions, see who’s coming and going on the ferry, or just hang out like these three bikers. It may not look like much but it’s island life at full throttle!”  Jane took her first drawing class in 1996 after her first born had left for college.  She quickly moved into working with pastels, where the color “knocks her out”. She works on site doing landscapes, but often appreciates the constant conditions of her studio.
